Local Tips for CoRL 2025

Preliminaries

Google Maps does not provide rich information compared to Korean apps, so you need to install several applications for your trip!
And fancy restaurants can be booked from the Catch Table Application!
T-Money is a prepaid card for Bus, Subway, Taxi, and so on.
Don’t forget to get one and load cash into it at the airport!

After you install map applications, by following the page Apps to Install, You are ready for searching details about transportation!
But to make your trip easier, here are more tips:

Internet Access at COEX

At COEX: Choose Coex Free Wi-Fi Zone on your mobile device.
For only CoRL 2025 participants, we prepare our dedicated WiFi services through CoRl 2025 (password: corl2025seoul).
At Starfield COEX Mall: Choose Public Wi-Fi Zone on your mobile device.

Food

We provide lunches on main days, and dinners on reception & banquet. But for your information, here are recommendations of what you can also eat

Tip: You can enjoy the beautiful scenery of Bongeunsa Temple at the 3rd and 2nd floors.

Gangnam Festival (09/27)
It is just near the COEX, and you can see the K-pop concert.
We’ve secured 300 tickets for entering this event!
Please contact to hmahn@postech.ac.kr reserve your ticket.
We decided to provide this ticket first-come-first-serve. Please visit the registration desk to get your ticket!
(TICKET DISTRIBUTION STARTS FROM 1:30pm 12:00pm, 27th September)
Note: PSY was in the line up, but due to his busy schedule, the line up does not have PSY now.
Gyeongbokgung Palace Night Opening (-09/28)
Gyeongbok-gung palace opens during the night time! (19:00~21:30).
Foreign visitor tickets are available for purchase on-site, limited to 300 people per day. (Passport, ID, or other foreigner verification documents required)
Date: September 3 (Wed) - September 28 (Sun), 2025
Place: Gyeongbokgung Palace
Important Notice
Last admission at 8:30 PM
No night viewing on Mondays and Tuesdays
Moonlight Lotus Show at Changgyeonggung Palace (09/10-11/08)
See the Chang-gyeong-gung palace with the media art! The media art will be shown during the night time(19:00~)
Seoul International Fireworks Festival (09/27)
It is a firework festival at the Yeo-eui-do Han-river park.
You can see the firework near that point, so you don’t have to exactly visit there (i.e., other Han-river park would be a good spot to see it)
Ddoo-buk Ddoo-buk Festival (09/28-10/26)
It is a festival on one of the bridges over the Han River. People would walk around the bridge and chill out.
Chung-chun Coffee Festival (09/27-09/28)
It is a festival with many cafes. Before the sunset, there would be also a K-pop Concert on both days.

Q&A

Q) Does Uber work?
Uber also works okay in Seoul, and other cities near Seoul.
But if you are planning to visit other cities like Busan, Kakao-T would be a good option.
